FILMMAKER

Rockefeller began his screen career as a self-taught filmmaker, earning early recognition with the award-winning documentary Boy From the Blue Room – a hard-boiled portrait of homelessness and prostitution on the streets of Sydney’s Darlinghurst.

He pursued formal study in film and spent several formative years inside Baz Luhrmann’s creative orbit, an apprenticeship that sharpened his appetite for heightened, image-driven storytelling. He has since directed music videos, short films, and commercials for clients including Diet Coke and Google.

His focus is now on animation and his first feature, the hand-drawn A Little Death, currently in production.
