FILMMAKER
Rockefeller’s screen career as a self-taught filmmaker, gaining recognition with the award-winning documentary Boy From the Blue Room. This was followed by film school and several formative years apprenticing under filmmaker Baz Luhrmann.
He gravitates toward films that are both emotionally grounded yet visually singular—high-concept, uncanny, and stylized narratives infused with dark humor, existential tension, and the theatrical worldview that echoes throughout his broader fine-art practice.
